The Gospel

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

A Perfect God

God has revealed Himself to mankind partly in nature but more fully in scripture. God is the creator and sustainer of all things. As His creation we owe allegiance and submission to Him. He is a holy, righteous, just, loving and gracious God.

A Sinful Humanity

We also realize that we are sinful creatures. We do not live up to the perfect and righteous standards given to us by God. Simply said: humanity is corrupt, living apart from God and loving other things more than we love God. Scripture tells us that the punishment for sin is ultimately death that leads to eternal judgement.

A Gracious Gift

God does not leave us in our sin and rebellion but has provided a way to save His people. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to take the punishment for our sin and to give us His righteousness. This is a gracious gift that we do not deserve and cannot earn through good works. Jesus tells us that the only way to receive this gift is by believing and trusting in Him. This faith in Jesus Christ leads us to repent of our sins and turn to follow after Christ.

A Glorious Future

Through faith in Jesus Christ we are saved. And this salvation begins a new life that is devoted to living for Christ. In salvation Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit that will help us love and obey God. The Holy Spirit is also our assurance that the ultimate end of salvation is eternal life with God. This glorious future will be filled with joy, love and perfect peace with God for eternity.
