Our Ministries

Get Involved in a Community that Points You to Christ

One of the best ways to grow in your faith is to be involved in a community that helps you know God's Word and helps you faithfully follow after Christ.

Children

Our children's ministry is dedicated to serving children and families by teaching children the Bible and sharing the gospel with them at a young age.

We minister to children in English with age appropriate lessons using Great Commission Publication material.

Nursery: birth-5 years of age, meets during the worship service right next to the sanctuary.

Worshipers in Training (WIT): grades 1-3, meets across the hall in the fellowship hall. WIT aged students worship with their parents for the first part of the service and are dismissed for an age appropriate bible lesson before the sermon.

Youth

Our youth group is designed to minister to the students throughout the week. Our youth team actively seeks to gather the youth for activities and learning each week.

The youth group is very diverse and has students who are from several local schools as well as students who are homeschooled. We are actively ministering to students from grade 4 through seniors in high school.

Young Professionals

The Young Professionals Fellowship at Karawaci Presbyterian Church was initiated to foster Biblically-rooted community and friendships among young professionals within and beyond our church family. Our vision is to create a community of believers who love and encourage one another, particularly in the context of their professional lives. We aim to equip our community with a Biblical understanding of work and vocational calling, encouraging them to integrate their faith into their workplace. We gather weekly on Saturday mornings for fellowship, Bible study, and peer-led discussions. From time to time, we invite guest speakers who share inspiring testimonies about how they use their God-given talents to serve the world around them, highlighting the challenges and triumphs of practicing faith in their daily work. We also organize monthly social events such as dinners, board game nights, hobby-based activities, and outings, as well as quarterly worship nights.

Men's Community
& Bible Study

Our men's community exists to support our men by helping men build community with other men who will encourage them in their walk with Christ. We exist to help men faithfully live out a life of courage, servant leadership and faithful discipleship with their families and friends.

We meet Thursday nights in someone's home from 7-8:30 pm for food, fun and discussion around God's Word. We spend time sharing with one another and praying for each other's specific needs.

Several times a year we gather together for men's events so we can spend time together having fun and getting to know one another.

Women's Community
& Bible Study

Our women's ministry exists to share the love of Christ in meaningful ways with other women.

We gather in groups throughout the week to study God's Word and support one another as we seek to live faithful lives for Christ.

There are two times and locations to pick from:

  • Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9 pm in a home

  • Thursday evenings from 6-7:30 pm in a home

Both groups are diverse in ages and stages of life. And both groups are working through the same bible study. The choice is simply what time and day works best for you?

Prayer

Prayer is an important part of the Christian's faith. We are called by Christ not only to pray for one another but also to pray with one another.

Each Thursday during lunch time we gather over Zoom for 30 minutes (12-12:30 pm) to pray with one another for the needs of our church, community and country.

This is a sweet time to worship the Lord together in prayer and to ask our God to intercede for the needs of His children. It has been amazing to see the Lord answer the prayers of His people. We encourage you to join us or tell us how we can pray for you.

Evangelism & Outreach

Evangelism and outreach is more than a program. At KPC we seek to make evangelism and outreach a normal part of everyone's life. We are all called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.

So as a church we seek to equip and empower believers to go out into the community where God has placed them to share the gospel. We are not looking for new places to share the gospel. We are looking to be faithful to share the gospel in the places where God has already placed us.

Throughout the year we will have different ways to learn and be encouraged to share the gospel.

Host Families

Our host family ministry is a ministry of care, hospitality and friendship to our university students. Our university students come to study in Indonesia from all over the world and many of them will not be able to return home for several years. Many of these students also have limited financial means.

Our host family ministry seeks to pair up university students with families in our church who desire to care for and welcome these students into their homes. Typically it involves inviting students over for a meal, praying for them, celebrating special holidays or birthdays together or providing care packages during exams. Each host family will choose to do things differently according to the needs of their students and their family. But every host family is committed to being a loving and caring place for university students to belong.

Hospitality

Each Sunday after worship we gather together in the fellowship hall to eat snacks, drink good coffee and spend time getting to know one another so we can create lasting friendships.

The hospitality team at KPC works to create a welcoming and inclusive community that makes every individual feel welcomed, valued, and loved. KPC is unique because we are in a university setting with hundreds of international students and expatriates.

Our mission as a hospitality team is to bear witness to God's love through care and compassion, encouraging all who attend KPC to worship God with us in Christ-centered fellowship. We want to establish a welcoming environment that reflects Christ's love and promotes a sense of belonging.

Music Ministry

The KPC music ministry team exists to glorify God by leading our KPC church family in worship through music, providing opportunities for our congregation to steward their gifts in service to the Lord, and cultivating the hearts of our music team through Biblical community and training. We do this through Sunday worship service preparation, practice, and execution; learning and teaching new songs to the congregation; monthly fellowship and formation; and providing opportunities for all members of the congregation from children through adults to receive musical training and opportunities to lead in the service. Throughout the year at special services we also provide opportunities to join children and congregational choirs. The music in our services aims to be Biblically sound and musically diverse, reflecting the diversity within our own congregation. Our songs include a variety of older hymns and more modern worship songs and hymns that bridge generations and genres.
